Many tourists are interested in Middle East cuisines, so the following is mainly devoted to the introduction of some common ingredients in the Middle East cuisines.

Herbs and spices
Herbs and spices are usually used by people in the Arabian states to improve the aroma and also can increase the digestibility of food. But different areas may be different in the types and quantity of the using of spices and herbs. And the most usual herbs and spices are garlic, sesame, cumin, saffron, cinnamon, sumac, and turmeric.

Legumes
Legumes may be the most common ingredients in Arab cuisines and often used in a large amount. And the major legumes include lentils, fava-beans, and chickpeas.

Beverages
People in the Arabian states prefer some hot beverages, like tea and coffee.

Vegetables and fruits
Vegetables and fruits are also very common in Arab cuisines. Vegetables mainly include onions, eggplant, zucchini, okra, cucumbers and so on. Also, dates, figs, and olives pomegranates are widely used in these cuisines.

Grains
Rice is the most favored item and used for many types of dishes. And wheat is the main ingredient for baking bread. Also, Bulgur and Semolina are common in Arabian cuisines.

Nuts
People in the Arab world also like nuts as their food, such as pistachios, almonds, peanuts, pine nuts, and walnuts.

Greens
In Arabian states, parsley and mint are normally used as seasonings in their cuisines, and spinach and mulukhiyah are also favored by local people.

Sauces and dressings
Sauces are widely used in different kinds of cuisines and the main ingredients of sauces include onion, mint, and garlic. And the most favored dressings are made from lemon juice, garlic parsley, tahini, and olive oil.

Because of the regular interaction and exchanges in the history, so most of these widely used ingredients of the Arabian cuisines can also find traces in Indian dishes.
