Different from those bustling central tourist destinations in Bali, South Kuta offers tourists a far more relaxing atmosphere, and what’s more important, it can be easily accessed for it is very close to the airport.
Starting from the Hard Rock Hotel in the north and stretching to Patra in the south, a picturesque boardwalk winds along South Kuta’s coastline, providing a good viewpoint for taking photographs. This path also connects all the lodging places in South Kuta. There are all levels of hotels, ranging from budget hotels to five-star luxury hotels. Also, tourists here can enjoy a lot of entertainment activities, fine dining options and boutique shopping.
Unlike those crowded central destinations in Bali, beaches in South Kuta are very beautiful and suitable for swimming. This region is particularly favored by kids and adults. Also, nearby is the Waterbom Waterslide, which is one of the biggest water theme parks in Asia and offers fifteen world-class waterslides, which surely will make tourists have a lot of fun.
South Kuta also offers many kinds of recreational activities, like the Paradiso Bowling Center, and various kinds of language courses, through which you can acquire many other useful local languages.
South Kuta has a tropical monsoon climate and therefore its weather can be divided into two distinct seasons, that is, dry season and wet season. The dry season lasts from April to October, while the wet season from November to March. Average temperature can be 30 C throughout the year.
South Kuta can be easily got around for there are many available meter taxis and rental motorbikes. It is also a good way to explore South Kura by taking a walking. If you want to feel local custom, you may have a try its scooters, which, however, are not suitable for families.
