Agua Fria National Monument is apart from Phoenix with around 64km in the United States of Arizona. It covers an area over 72344 acres with higher elevation between 660 meters and 1400 meters and established by Presidential announcement on 11th January, 2000 to conserve the numerous ancient sites such as pictographs, ruins and so on. The Bureau of Land Management is operating this land but the level of defense and conservation of resources under monument condition within the recent one has been improved. Agua Fria National Monument was listed on the NLC System of BLM. More than 450 different structures of the Native Americans have been minute in the monument, the number of large pueblos including over 100 rooms each. Strengthening the protection of the state also offers greater protection of habitat for countless animal communities and vegetation.

The puebloan ruins were built during the time from 1250 to 1450 AD while thousands of Native Americans inhabited the area that was known for Perry Mesa Tradition. And this region scattered by many petroglyphs which depict geometric figures, animals and abstract symbolization are discovered by the thousands. The evidence provided by the abundant ruins of irrigation devices and agricultural terraces shows that agriculture was spread widely during this time. The additional historical entities are found, from which contains the 19th century of sheep camps of Basque and mining features.

An old mine called Richinbar Mine is located 350 meters above of the rim in western. The mine is a potential turning point; otherwise it will need a car shuttle to follow the way downstream of canyon. It takes around 20 minutes to reach the rim with various remains of equipment and old constructions. Silver and gold were used to produce for Richinbar Mine from around 1896 to 1912.
